Through years of coaching and personal growth, I’ve come to understand a fundamental truth: without discovering and embracing your deepest self, any change you make will only scratch the surface. True, lasting transformation isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level changes—it’s about going within, understanding your core values, and realigning your life with your most authentic self. I believe that sustainable wellbeing requires this inner journey. Only then can you truly flourish, not just in one area of your life, but in every aspect—mind, body, and spirit.

I believe that true wellbeing is holistic – a harmonious balance between the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Guided by the principles of Love, Connection, and Nourishment, my philosophy nurtures every aspect of your life, helping you live in alignment with your deepest potential.

Imagine your life as a tree. The roots represent the foundational elements of love and connection, grounding you in your truth. The essential energy that moves upward from the roots sustains the growth of the branches and leaves. The trunk embodies the vital flow of energy that sustains and supports you. From this trunk, the branches extend into the key areas of wellbeing: nutrition, movement, emotional and mental health, spiritual alignment, recovery, and relationships. Each branch is nourished by the leaves – the practical details and everyday practices that help you grow, such as mindful eating, emotional regulation, meaningful relationships, habit changes, wellbeing actions, and routines that support your physical, mental, and emotional health.

But the true strength of the tree comes from its most important connection – its roots deep within the earth. In the same way, your foundational connection to the Earth and nature is vital to your wellbeing. This connection is part of the greater interconnectedness of all life, a web that supports and sustains us. Reconnecting to nature is one of the core elements of my philosophy. It’s through this connection that we tap into a sense of belonging, alignment, and unity that rejuvenates your body, mind, and spirit. Nature provides us with the peace, clarity, and energy that supports our holistic health.

Through my story, I share the challenges I faced in the pursuit of perfection, and how the pursuit of external rewards ultimately left me feeling empty. This book explores my struggles with mental health, my breakdowns, and the transformative process I went through to discover what true happiness and meaning in life are all about.

In Aito Elämä, I open up about the powerful lessons I learned through self-reflection, overcoming adversity, and the quest for mental and emotional wellbeing. The book offers valuable insights and practical advice on how others can find more meaning, balance, and fulfillment in their own lives.

I’m Nora Yrjölä, a passionate expert coach, entrepreneur, and author with over 20 years of experience in the fields of sports, wellbeing, and personal development. I founded my first company in 2004, and since then, I’ve been dedicated to helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential—whether that’s through personalized coaching, fitness programs, or corporate wellbeing solutions. I currently serve as a Senior Performance Coach at Hintsa Performance.

With a Master’s degree in Sport and Coaching, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Sport Administration and Business, I bring a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of human performance to my work. My experience spans across a wide range of clients, from world-class executives and elite athletes to knowledge workers seeking greater balance and fulfillment in their professional and personal lives.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals and groups to create tailored programs that address both physical and mental wellbeing. This includes individual coaching, group fitness classes, webinars, public speaking, and motivational presentations. Additionally, I ran my own functional fitness gym for four years, where I gained valuable insight into the transformative power of physical activity and community.

My Approach: Finding Meaning Beyond Achievement

What truly sets me apart is my broad experience across various wellbeing fields, combined with a deep understanding of the mental and emotional aspects of personal growth. Life has had its ups and downs for me—I’ve worked tirelessly, achieved a great deal, and encountered the challenges that come with relentless striving. These experiences have shaped me into who I am today.

Through it all, I’ve learned that true fulfillment doesn’t come from achieving more and more. It comes from embracing the present moment, appreciating the beauty around us, and finding purpose in our lives. This is the core message I share with my clients: wellbeing and happiness arise from inner peace, balance, and a deeper connection to ourselves and the world.
