Freedom or stability? I keep choosing the same one

Freedom or stability? I would choose freedom all over again.
What matters more to you?

Some people want stability: a steady salary, predictability, knowing
what next year looks like. Others want freedom: their own choices,
their own time.

For me, freedom has always been non-negotiable.

My calendar is my life. I want to decide when I work, when I take time
off, how many weeks of holiday I have and where I spend my time. I
wouldn’t want someone else making those decisions for me.

When I was young, I left a permanent job to become an entrepreneur. At another
point I sold my gym. Later, I moved to Brazil. Each time there
was no guarantee, and nobody could tell me how it would go.

There’s a price. No guaranteed salary, no predictable path, no idea
what the next year brings. But I’ve learned to live with that instead
of fearing it. I’ve started over, made hard decisions and found my way
through things I didn’t see coming. I’m still here.

Think about surfing. You can’t control the waves. You
read them, paddle out anyway, and sometimes you fall. The ocean never
becomes predictable. You just get better at being in it.

That’s what experience gives you. Not knowing what happens next, but
knowing you’ve handled the unexpected before.

Maybe stability isn’t having everything guaranteed. Maybe it’s
trusting yourself with whatever comes.

So which one are you: freedom or stability?
